Signs of Heat Stroke:-

  • Pant persistently and quickly

  • Appear stressed and agitated.

  • Lethargy

  • Collapsing

  • A bright red tongue and pale gums

  • Thick saliva

HEAT STROKE PREVENTION

  • NEVER leave your dog unattended in the car

  • Provide shade and water

  • Avoid exercising in the middle of the day

  • Keep pets with conditions like heart disease, obesity, older age, or breathing problems cool and in the shade.

  • Avoid places like the beach and especially concrete or asphalt areas where heat is reflected and there is no access to shade.

If you think your pet may be suffering from heat stroke contact the clinic immediately.
