peg the cat - Cooks Hill Vet Clinic - Newcastle

Update: Adopted

Meet Peg

Peg with three legs is currently looking for her fur-ever home!

Peg is a 5 month old domestic short hair.

She was surrendered to us at the end of March after falling from a balcony and sustaining a nasty fracture to her left hind leg (see image).

Since then Peg has had her leg amputated (the damage to bone and muscle was too severe to save the leg, so amputation was the best option for her quality of life), she has also been desexed, vaccinated (she will need one more kitten booster in May), and given prevention for fleas, ticks and worms.

Over the past few weeks Peg has really come out of her shell. She enjoys pats, snacks, and playing (especially with mouse or string toys).

She has adapted so well to life with three legs, we're all very proud of her.

If you are interested in adopting Peg please call or email us at and we can arrange a meet and greet.

Update: Adopted

Meet Motchi

Motchi is a beautiful, white, seven year old female (desexed) domestic medium hair. ⠀

Unfortunately her family could not keep her and she is desperately looking for her new forever family ⠀

Motchi is a very pretty and entertaining lady, she is a very food motivated cat who enjoys a pat, brush and play (particular likes string toys and plastic bags).

She does not love being picked up, but does like to come to you and have a smooch.

Motchi is up to date with vaccination as well as flea, tick and worm prevention. ⠀

She is currently on daily medication (which is a liquid that she willing eats on her breakfast) to help her through this adjustment period (she was quite stressed when she was first surrendered, but is doing much better now). ⠀

Motchi would best suit a quiet home with no other pets or children. It is possible she could live with a quiet dog, but does not seem to get along with other cats.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, cheeky companion, Motchi might be for you! ⠀

Please feel free to call or email us if you are interested and would like more information.

Update: Adopted

Meet Garfield

Garfield is a lovely nine and a half year old, ginger, domestic long hair.

He has been a long time patient at Cooks Hill Vet, and was surrendered to us after his previous owner sadly could no longer care for him.

Garfield would best suit a quiet home with no other cats. It is possible that he could adapt to live with a quiet and calm dog or cat, but much prefers the company of humans.

Garfield loves head bops, cuddles, snacks, and cuddling on the lounge (or bed) and watching TV.

He is micro-chipped, desexed, up to date with vaccinations as well as flea, worm and tick prevention.

If you think you have room in your home for a purr-fect feline companion like Garfield, please contact us on 49252999.
