Did you know that ear infections are quite common in dogs and cats?

It’s important to know the signs of an ear infection so you can get your pet treatment early. Signs include: - frequent head shaking - dropping the head to one side (usually the side of the infected ear) - scratching at the head and ears The ear can also have a visible build up of wax (ranging from light brown to black in colour) and a strong yeasty smell. If you think your pet might have an ear infection, please call us on (02) 4925 2999 to book a consultation with one of our amazing vets. Additionally, the ear canal (underside of the ear) is often red and hot to touch. Your dog will probably dislike you touching their ear and may yelp or pull away. If you suspect your dog has an ear infection, book an appointment with us right away.
