Meet Socks

Socks is currently a foster kitten with Hunter Animal Rescue. Socks was recently diagnosed with a growth plate fracture. This can be very painful, and very hard to repair in a kitten so young. It was decided that amputation would be the best option for Socks, and since there isn’t a lot of spare change within rescue groups, Dr Darren offered to do the surgery pro bono.

The surgery was performed yesterday, Socks is currently doing well in his recovery.

Socks is a great little kitten, he is very sweet and affectionate. If you think you have a spot in your home for a sweet, three legged fur baby, make sure to contact Hunter Animal Rescue and enquire about Socks 💕
